The parking meters installed on the city’s Main Street parking lots have generated more than $50,000 since February, when they were installed. City Manager Keith Till projected Tuesday that the meters will take in from $115,000 to $120,000 annually.
“Revenues are good,” he said. “The meters generate significant income for the city and also address parking availability for the shoppers.” The meters, installed on previously free lots in February, cost $10,000 annually for collection and maintenance, Till said.
