What a shame that the Huntington Beach Art Center shut down its avant-garde operations. Because of it Huntington Beach was losing its moniker of “oil and surf cities.” I talked to a young couple from Pasadena who said this museum had the most “dynamic, vibrant and original” shows in the Southland. This was one place I knew I could get my art fix without having to travel to Los Angeles.
