The Blind Children’s Learning Center announced recently that it has been chosen for the Corporate Combined Volunteer Project. The annual event teams corporations with nonprofits to provide volunteers to work on major projects.
Volunteers from PacifiCare, Boeing, Disneyland and Ingram Micro will build a new playground for the preschoolers at the center. More than 200 volunteers will meet at the school site, 18542-B Vanderlip Ave., on May 22 and June 5 to tear down and rebuild a play area for visually impaired children. Information: (714) 573-8888, Ext. 118.
