Drawn by the money in the entertainment industry in the eastern San Fernando Valley, City National Bank opened a branch Monday in Burbank, its second Valley branch opening in less than a year.
The branch, located in the Media City Center, aims to serve the entertainment industry and capitalize on the overall growth of the east Valley, a bank spokesman said.
City National, which now has 39 branches in Southern California, with five in the Valley, is a $6.4-billion federally chartered independent bank. City National Corp. is publicly owned, with shares traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
