Vandals

Re “Vandals Go on Rampage at La Puente High School Campus,” March 2: I certainly hope that when the vandals are caught their names and the names of their parents are made public.

I was a teen in the 1950s and there used to be something called “shame” in our society. If as a teen you did something wrong, the neighborhood dealt with you, as well as the authorities. We need to return to the time when law-abiding citizens tell their neighbors, “We don’t like what your kids have done and we expect you to correct the situation. If you can’t take the responsibility given you as member of our neighborhood, then get out of the neighborhood.”
