The City Council has voted 4 to 1 to support cargo operations as an interim use of El Toro Marine Corps Air Station when the military base closes in July. Councilwoman Patricia L. Bortle opposed supporting the resolution at a recent meeting. Orange County supervisors have approved allowing interim uses, including cargo flights.
