The 24th annual Florence Arnold Young Artist Festival opens at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center. More than 2,500 pieces of artwork submitted by Fullerton School District students will be displayed.
Families can take part in dozens of activities, including mask making, origami, Chinese knotting, balloon painting and a surprise presentation from the Bowers Museum of Cultural Art in Santa Ana. Admission to the festival is free. Art activities cost up to $4. Proceeds help fund the arts in schools. The center is at 1201 W. Malvern Ave. Information: (714) 738-6595.
