ANGELS SPRING REPORT

Manager Terry Collins took an indirect shot at the Dodgers for reducing their traditional three-game Freeway Series against the Angels to one game this spring so they could play a two-game series against the New York Yankees in Dodger Stadium April 3-4. The Angels scrambled to fill those dates against Aguascalientes of the Mexican League and Cal State Fullerton.
“One of the things that irritates me is we’ve got a good team with some big names, and no one wants to play us,” Collins said. “I want to win so bad that next year everyone wants to play us, and we say no thank you, we’re playing Aguascalientes and Cal State Fullerton.”
