This is rematch of last year’s second round, in which Mission Viejo came out on top, 2-1, and went on to upset Capistrano Valley for the Division I title. The Diablos were tested in the semifinals, battling Redlands to a 1-1 tie, and advancing on penalty kicks. Unseeded Claremont, which upset third-seeded Long Beach Poly in the first round, has outscored its playoff opponents 16-3.
