A 44-year-old man died early Saturday morning when his car veered out of control and rolled several times on the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor in Aliso Viejo, authorities said.
The man, Steven Raby, whose address was not available, was heading south on the tollway about 1:30 a.m. and attempted to exit at Aliso Creek Road, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
Raby lost control of his 1991 Mercedes and was thrown out when his car overturned.
He suffered head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, said Larry Esslinger, supervising deputy at the county coroner’s office.
No other vehicles were involved, and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
