Woodland Hills El Camino Real High, a program left for dead six years ago when it didn’t field a team, defeated Locke, 1-0, at Birmingham High to claim its first City Section boys’ title. . . . Brent Whitfield scored two goals at La Mirada High to lead Long Beach Poly (26-2-3) to a 2-1 victory over LaVerne Damien and its first Southern Section title in Division I. In Division IV, Jesse Martinez scored with three minutes left for West Covina South Hills in a 2-1 victory over San Marino. . . . Andrea Valdez scored for Torrance Bishop Montgomery (24-3-3) and Mindy Wyatt scored for West Hills Chaminade (22-4-3) in a 1-1 tie in the Division IV girls’ final at Gahr High.
