Boys & Girls Club Is Seeking Tutors
Volunteers are needed to tutor children one-on-one in basic spelling, math and reading at the Boys & Girls Club of Camarillo.
Several students have signed up for individual tutoring sessions that will start March 22. Some tutors have signed up, but at least a dozen more are needed for the nine-week program.
Volunteers, who are each matched with a student between ages 6 and 18, must be at least 16 years old. Sessions run from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays at the club.
Volunteers will be asked to donate one or two hours per week.
Applications are available by calling the administrative office at 482-8113 or by visiting the club at 1500 Temple Ave.
The club has more than 2,200 members and offers tutoring sessions several times throughout the year.
