Official Denies Spy Reports in U.S.

Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan denied a published report that China had stolen U.S. technology allowing it to miniaturize its nuclear weapons, saying the report was baseless and “very irresponsible.” China also continued campaigning against proposals in the U.S. to place parts of Asia, including Taiwan, under a U.S. antimissile umbrella, warning that such a move would block China’s hopes of reuniting peacefully with Taiwan.
