* I beg to differ with “Community Colleges Cram Semesters In to Attract Students” (March 4). The PACE program offered through Los Angeles Harbor College is one of the best things that has happened in my life in the past two years. I am now the proud owner of an associate degree, and because of this program I will be starting Cal State Long Beach in the fall.
These programs may not be a suitable option for all teachers and students. I am a 41-year-old woman. When I decided to better myself, the PACE program was the ideal forum for me. Even though it is a fast-paced program, it lacks neither the quality or quantity of a regular 18-week semester; in fact, we gain more.
