Group to Distribute Food, Clothing to Needy
- Share via
Rain or shine Saturday, volunteers with the Tree of Life Ministries will distribute groceries and clothing to needy people for as long as the supplies last.
The fourth annual “Food for All” event--to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Valley Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church, 6642 Reseda Blvd., Reseda--will include a free lunch of hot dogs and beverages, children’s games, live music and free car washes.
Doctors and nurses are scheduled to be on hand to offer limited physicals and medication.
Last year, the group distributed 2 1/2 tons of food and 2 tons of clothing to more than 2,000 needy people.
Tree of Life Ministries Director Cindy Anderson founded the organization after a period of economic difficulty in which she and her family lost everything. When the family got back on its feet, she vowed to help others in need.
