Public Invited to Meeting on Flood Insurance

LOS ANGELES COUNTY — Residents and business owners in the county’s flood hazard zone are invited to a meeting tonight to question federal and local government officials about buying flood insurance.
Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Los Angeles County Drainage Area Alliance of Cities will be on hand at Lakewood Civic Center from 7 p.m.
Officials will answer questions about renewing flood insurance and the status of flood improvement construction along the Los Angeles River and Rio Hondo Channel.
The meeting will take place at The Centre at Sycamore Plaza, 5000 Clark Avenue, Lakewood.
