*** Cheo Feliciano, “En Cuba,” CDT. The Puerto Rican singer’s visit to Cuba in 1997 signified a symbolic embrace between the two foremost cultures in the history of salsa. This live recording contains soulful versions of the expected hits (the torrid “Anacaona,” the captivating “El Raton”), but the standout is the sensuous “Delirio,” where you can hear the singer choke up with emotion knowing that the composer was in the audience.
