Kudos for Choral Work
Having attended opening night of [Opera Pacific’s] “Pagliacci” and “Carmina Burana,” we agreed with Lewis Segal’s appraisals of both pieces, particularly the marvelous chorus in the latter (“Daring Dramatic Pairing,” Feb. 25).
The chorus was the highlight of the evening. The critic gave credit by name to several individuals whose efforts contributed to the positive aspects of the performances but neglected to single out the person who was responsible for that wonderful chorus.
How about a bouquet to Henri Venanzi, the choral director whose work is always top of the line?
