Oxnard Santa Clara 93, El Cajon Christian...

Oxnard Santa Clara 93, El Cajon Christian 55--Nick Jones scored 27 points and B.J. Ward had 24 to lead the Saints in the Division V final at the Pyramid.

Santa Clara (29-3) will play Modesto Calvary Temple, a 98-81 winner over Hoopa Valley, in the state championship game Friday. It will be Santa Clara’s first state final appearance since 1991.

Santa Clara set a record for most points in a Division V Southern Regional championship, eclipsing the previous mark of 81 points scored by Pacific Hills in a triple-overtime victory last year against San Diego Horizon.

Tim Brown and Jon Henkel each scored 17 points for El Cajon Christian.
