4 Charged in Fatal Poisoning of Girl

Four men were arraigned on charges they slipped a “date-rape drug” into the drink of a girl who went into a coma and died. Samantha Reid, 15, was one of three teenage girls drugged Jan. 16 at a party on Grosse Ile, Mich., an affluent island community in the Detroit River, prosecutors said. Police said Samantha’s soft drink was spiked with either GHB or GBL, drugs that can render victims helpless. She died the next day at a hospital.
