An Orange man who allegedly stabbed a co-worker during a fight after hours at the Block shopping center turned himself in Monday night, Orange police said.
Jashua Christopher, 25, allegedly pulled a knife during a fistfight and stabbed Thomas Avila, 21, in a parking lot in the early morning hours March 12, police said. Police said that Avila became enraged at Christopher for taking away his beer when a bar closed and challenged him to a fight outside.
Police said Christopher stabbed Avila in the back and arm, wounds which sent him to UCI Medical Center in Orange.
Avila identified Christopher as his attacker, said Orange Police Lt. Art Romo. Christopher was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and held at the Orange County Jail. The knife used in the attack has not been recovered, Romo said.
