Chastity Bono, the daughter of Cher and Sonny Bono, will help celebrate Gay Pride Weeks at Chapman University next month. Bono will speak about her personal experiences with gay issues and discuss her new book, “Family Outing.” Before publishing her book, Bono was the entertainment media director of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, a national media watchdog group. Chapman will celebrate Pride Weeks from April 7 to 15. This year, the theme will be “A Century of Pride,” featuring milestones reached by the gay community during the past 100 years. Bono will speak at 7 p.m. April 8 in the university’s Memorial Hall at 333 N. Glassell St. Information: (714) 997-6735.
