A 37-year-old Anaheim man was fatally wounded Thursday night in what police suspect was a gang-related shooting.
Officers called to the 1100 block of East Cypress Street at 11:11 p.m. found Ysidro Suazo with a single gunshot wound to the upper torso, Anaheim Police Sgt. Paul Gallagher said. Suazo was taken to Western Medical Center-Anaheim, where he died.
Police said the victim was visiting relatives and friends when a group of men wearing dark clothes approached him and others after they parked their vehicle at a curb.
Witnesses told police that no words were exchanged between the two groups, but a man approached Suazo and shot him.
Gallagher said he could not release more details because the investigation is continuing.
