SACRAMENTO — More than half of California adults give favorable reviews to Gov. Gray Davis for his first two months in office, according to a poll released Friday.
The Field Poll reported that 58% of respondents approved of Davis’ job performance.
But the same proportion saw no difference or had no opinion on whether Democrat Davis is doing better than his predecessor, Republican Gov. Pete Wilson.
Asked how Davis has handled the job, 12% disapproved and 30% had no opinion.
The Field Poll surveyed 502 California adults, including 248 Democrats, 199 Republicans and 55 others. It was conducted March 3-14.
