St. Bonaventure 10-9, Paraclete 8-11--Freshman Brandon Mascorro drove in three runs with four hits, including three doubles, for the St. Bonaventure in a nonleague doubleheader at Paraclete.
Jeff Springgate drove in three runs with four hits, including three doubles, for the Seraphs (3-3) in the two games.
Rob Foekaert drove in five runs for Paraclete with four hits, including a two-run home run in the second game.
Lancaster 25, Buena 6--Justin Rethwisch hit two doubles, a single and drove in four runs for the Eagles in a nonleague victory at Lancaster.
James Philgren drove in four runs for Lancaster (6-3), and Mike Brown and Mike Hewson each had three hits.
Desert Christian 13-12, Desert 5-2--Brandon Morgan (2-0) struck out 14 and walked one, and Dustin Schramm hit two triples and drove in two runs for the Knights in the first game of a sweep at Desert Christian.
Schramm (3-0) struck out 12 batters and Ryan McMichael had a double and a triple for Desert Christian (7-0) in the second game.
Rosamond 10-2, Littlerock 8-15--Delwyn Young hit two home runs and a triple and Mike Arvizo homered to help the Lobos (4-4) win the second game at Littlerock.
COLLEGE BASEBALL
George Fox 14, Cal Lutheran 4--The Bruins scored 10 unearned runs in the top of the ninth in a California Invitational tournament game at Damien High in LaVerne.
Cal Lutheran is 14-6.
Bakersfield 11, Valley 10--Octavio Martinez’s run-scoring single in the ninth gave the Renegades (11-13, 2-6) a Western State Conference South Division victory at Bakersfield.
Nick Lombard had five hits, including two doubles, for the Monarchs (7-16, 2-7).
Oxnard 9, Santa Barbara 7--Ruben Valenzuela drove in four runs with three hits, including a two-run double, for the Condors (11-8, 5-3) in a WSC North Division game at Santa Barbara (4-15, 1-7).
HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL
Highland 13-5, Paraclete 0-6--Brie Benanti’s two-run double in the seventh inning capped a four-run rally that gave the Spirits (4-2) a split at Highland (6-3).
Ashlie D’Errico had three hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs to give Coach Glenda Potts her 100th victory at Highland (6-3).
HIGH SCHOOL TRACK
Eagle Rock Relays--Shane Hackett of Verdugo Hills vaulted 15 feet to set a meet record, beating by six inches the record set last year by Patrick Turner of Granada Hills.
COLLEGE TRACK
Fresno State Quadrangular Meet--Anetta Wells won the 200 meters in 24.51 and the 400 in 55.77, and Brandi Prieto captured the long jump at 17-10 1/2 and the 100 hurdles in 14.67 for Cal State Northridge, which placed second to Missouri, 198.5-183 in the women’s division.
