Cramped Traveler

In your article describing how to travel more comfortably (“Coach Fliers Find Life’s Luxuries More Elusive,” Travel Insider, Nov. 29.), one suggestion was to get seated in an exit row for more legroom. Thanks a lot! I notice that many travelers are trying that. I am 6 feet, 7 inches tall and cannot fit into a standard seat.
On our last flight from England, I was shoehorned into a seat that was unacceptable, especially when the stewardess and the passenger in the seat in front of me both pushed back on my wedged-in self, cracking my left knee. To add more injury to injury, she then ran the cart into my hand, cutting my fingers--this also due to my size.
I just got my MRI and will go in for corrective surgery.
