What Are You Drinking?

Bob Travers, Mayacamas Vineyards
“I’ve been drinking some pretty good Australian wines lately from a little place called Mount Mary Vineyard, which I visited. It’s in Victoria in the Yarra Valley, east of Melbourne about an hour. They make terrific wines--Cabernet, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir. They’re all really top-quality stuff, but their Cabernet’s kind of like ours--it needs some aging. Well, maybe not as much as ours, but still, buy it and put it away. Their Pinot Noir and white wines are very accessible, though, and can be drunk right away.”
