1995 Cha^teau des Tours Vacqueyras “Reserve,” Rho^ne Valley
About $17
Vacqueyras is one of two Co^tes-du-Rho^ne villages with their own appellations. (The other is Gigondas.) The 1995 Cha^teau des Tours Reserve has lots of deep, gorgeous fruit, a medium body, and a taste that encompasses berries, earth, stone and wild herbs. It’s an impressive example of Vacqueyras, something like a cross between a Co^tes-du-Rho^ne and a Burgundy.
Available at Hi-Times Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa and Wine House in West Los Angeles.
