ANAHEIM

* East Lincoln Avenue: A transient was taken into custody in the 2800 block at 2:54 p.m. Tuesday after police said she attempted to steal a $17.49 bottle of tequila from a Ralphs grocery store.

* South Harbor Boulevard: Report of a misdemeanor hit-and-run in the 1300 block at 9:18 a.m. Tuesday.

BREA

* West Imperial Highway at South Jasmine Drive: Report of a traffic accident, no injuries, at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday.

BUENA PARK

* Whitaker Street: Someone broke into an abandoned duplex in the 8100 block sometime between 11 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday. The vandal entered through an open window, wrote on the walls with a yellow marker and threw cleaning products onto the lawn.

COSTA MESA

* Harbor Boulevard: A car stereo worth $250 was stolen in the 2600 block during the evening of March 19.

CYPRESS

* Lincoln Avenue: Police arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of armed robbery in the 5500 block at 10:46 a.m. Tuesday. Two men wearing ski masks and carrying handguns demanded money from a liquor store owner. When the robbers saw the store owner try to activate a silent alarm, one allegedly pistol-whipped him; he was taken to the hospital. A police chase ensued from the Cypress Beverage & Liquor store to Long Beach, where the suspect van hit a pole on 20th Street. The occupants abandoned the van and fled, but police caught one of them.

DANA POINT

* Somerset Circle: A robbery alarm in the 23000 block was triggered at 3:18 p.m. Monday.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY

* Newhope Street: A person was arrested on shoplifting charges in the 18000 block at 4:19 p.m. Tuesday.

FULLERTON

* Pine Drive: An assault arrest was made in the 200 block at 7:52 p.m. Monday. A woman was standing by a pay phone when a man hit her with a steel pipe.

* Tiffany Place: Report of strong-arm robbery in the 2500 block at 12:29 a.m. Tuesday. Police were unable to locate the attacker who stole a woman’s purse.

GARDEN GROVE

* Gilbert Street: Police arrested six people in connection with a methamphetamine lab operation in the 11100 block at 10 p.m. March 17. Police confiscated liquid meth and a loaded assault rifle. Three children at the residence were taken into protective custody.

HUNTINGTON BEACH

* Campus Drive: A woman reported that a purse and its contents, worth about $400, were stolen from her unlocked vehicle at a high school in the 4700 block at 6 p.m. Sunday.

* Vienne: A Nissan Maxima’s window was reported smashed at 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

LAGUNA BEACH

* Park Avenue: A resident reported a rattlesnake in the backyard in the 2400 block at 1:24 p.m. Sunday.

LAGUNA HILLS

* Caminito Andreta: Deputies received a call about a suspicious person in the 23000 block at 3:55 a.m. Tuesday.

* Earhart Road: Report of an abandoned vehicle in the 25000 block at 2:53 p.m. Monday.

LAGUNA NIGUEL

* Golden Lantern at Crown Valley Parkway: A man told deputies he was assaulted and his vehicle vandalized at a party at 12:15 a.m. Saturday. Deputies took into custody a juvenile suspect, who was then released to his mother.

* Via Cerrito: A fur coat was reported stolen from the back seat of a vehicle parked in the 29100 block at 7:15 p.m. Saturday.

LAGUNA WOODS

* Via Estrada: A prowler was reported in the 500 block at 7:16 p.m. March 18.

* Via Mariposa: Deputies checked on the welfare of a resident in the 2000 block at 12:18 p.m. Friday.

LA HABRA

* East Lambert Road: Police arrested a 17-year-old male on suspicion of auto theft in the 500 block Wednesday morning. Police identified the 1988 brown two-door Honda Civic as stolen when the teen parked the car.

* West El Dorado Avenue: Report of a residential burglary in the 1600 block at 6:22 p.m. Tuesday. Someone entered through the residence’s backdoor and stole a TV, VCR, stereo, cellular phone, two CD players and miscellaneous jewelry totaling about $6,400.

LAKE FOREST

* Paseo Vendaval: A suspicious vehicle was reported in the 24000 block at 3:18 p.m. Tuesday.

* Rimrock Circle: Report of an illegal peddler in the 21000 block at 5:21 p.m. Tuesday.

LA PALMA

* La Palma Avenue: A strong-arm theft of a purse was reported at 1:09 p.m. Sunday.

LOS ALAMITOS

* Cerritos Avenue: Police took a report that a calculator worth $82 was stolen from Los Alamitos High School at 10:08 a.m. Friday.

MISSION VIEJO

* Los Alisos at Trabuco Road: Report of an abandoned vehicle at 9:43 p.m. Tuesday.

NEWPORT BEACH

* East Balboa Boulevard: About $780 was stolen from a business in the 700 block sometime Sunday evening.

* Eastbluff Drive: A cellular phone worth $200 was stolen from a car in the 2600 block sometime Sunday evening.

ORANGE

* South Park Vine Street: A motorist reported the theft of an auto from the 700 block at 9:03 a.m. Saturday.

PLACENTIA

* Lavender Lane: Report of a vehicle burglary in the 400 block at 7:57 a.m. Tuesday; jackets and a cell phone were stolen from a gray Toyota truck; loss estimated at $160.

SAN CLEMENTE

* Avenida Presidio: A robbery alarm in the 100 block was triggered at 2:13 a.m. Sunday.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO

* Los Rios Street: A robbery alarm in the 31000 block was triggered at 10:47 a.m. Sunday.

SANTA ANA

* South Main Street: Police arrested a man on suspicion of trying to sell false identification cards inside a store in the 600 block at 1:15 p.m. Friday.

SEAL BEACH

* Ocean Avenue: A citizen told police that someone had stolen his kite at 2:38 p.m. Monday. He said the suspects were in the 8th Street parking lot. Police investigated and interviewed the suspects. The kite, however, was found 20 minutes later; apparently, the wind had blown it away.

STANTON

* Santa Catalina: Report of a burglary with an audible alarm in the 7000 block at 9:16 a.m. Tuesday.

TUSTIN

* Westfall Road: A bicycle was reported stolen from a house in the 14600 block at 10:53 a.m. Sunday.

* Tustin East Drive: Miscellaneous electronic equipment was reported stolen from a white Acura Integra in the 13800 block at 1:08 p.m. Sunday.

VILLA PARK

* Taft Avenue at Lemon Street: Report of a vehicle stop at 5:38 p.m. Tuesday.

WESTMINSTER

* Newland Street: A student at Warner School allegedly took $23 from a teacher’s purse. Reported at 8:23 a.m. Tuesday.

YORBA LINDA

* Valencia Avenue: Report of vandalism in the 4700 block at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday.
