Magic Not Ready to Be an Agent

Magic Johnson denied reports that he will represent Philadelphia 76er guard Allen Iverson, who recently dropped agent David Falk. Johnson said the rumors probably began because his fledgling music agency represents rapper Mase, a good friend of Iverson’s.
In order for Johnson to represent basketball players he would have to sell his minority share in the Lakers. Johnson said he has no plans to do that at this time, but it remains a possibility.
“As we speak now, ownership [is more important],” Johnson said. “More and more guys need help. I think I can provide help for people. The Lakers are sound. They can go on without me if I should go on to help somebody else.”
