The City Council this week directed staff to draw up a letter of support for a $120-million plan to revitalize Dana Point Harbor. The Harbor Heritage Plan, proposed by harbor businesses, will result in the complete renovation of Mariners Village, Dana Village, Dana Wharf and the Dana Point Marina Inn Hotel, and will include the construction of a three-story parking garage. The plan, submitted to the county for approval in January, will be analyzed over the next few months to determine if it meets county standards for harbor revitalization.
