Paul Kirby has resigned as girls’ basketball coach at Estancia High because of increasing conflicts with his full-time job, he said.
Kirby, 28, was named varsity coach in 1996 after serving as junior varsity coach for two seasons and Russ Davis’ assistant for four seasons. Kirby took over after Davis left to become the women’s coach at Southern California College.
Kirby’s teams compiled a 41-37 record in three seasons. The Eagles finished 17-9 last season and reached the Southern Section Division III-A quarterfinals.
