Feba Radio, a division of Far East Broadcasting International of La Habra, will broadcast in English and Swahili and emphasize community-based programs.
In addition to the Mombasa-based programming, the radio station will broadcast on other frequencies as far as the coastal region of Kenya. The first broadcasts are scheduled to air in a year.
Far East Broadcasting International, an interdenominational Christian ministry, broadcasts 300 program hours daily in more than 150 languages from FM and shortwave stations in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
