Chapman Will Host Playoffs

Chapman will host the NCAA Division III West Regional softball tournament starting Friday at Hart Park in Orange.
Top-seeded Chapman (28-8) will play its first game at 5 p.m. Friday against the North Central (Ill.)-Anderson (Ind.) winner. Anderson (34-8) plays North Central (31-6) in the first game at noon Friday.
Pacific Lutheran (Wash.), which is 38-4, plays St. Thomas (Minn.), which is 29-12, at 2 p.m. in another first-round game. Play continues with three games Saturday and concludes Sunday.
