City staff members have recommended that the City Council this evening approve a $52,000 project to replace the playground equipment at Carl Brenner Park. The 1998-99 fiscal year budget provided for as much as $55,000 for the playground. The staff also is recommending that the city clerk be allowed to advertise for bids. The meeting will be held at 5 p.m. in council chambers, 6650 Beach Blvd. Information: (714) 562-3550.
