The City Council tonight will consider amendments to a curfew ordinance banning children younger than 18 from being outside between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Council members will consider revising definitions, parents’ responsibilities, exceptions, enforcement procedures, and violations and penalties. Under the ordinance, parents cannot allow their children in public areas and business owners cannot allow a minor on the premises after curfew. The changes come in the wake of a new state law. The council meets at 7 p.m. in chambers, 300 Centennial Way. Information: (714) 573-3010.
