Epson America Inc. will relocate its Torrance headquarters and 600 staff employees to an office park near Long Beach Airport.
Epson, whose Japanese parent company is a major manufacturer of computer printers and other products, signed a 10-year lease for about 162,000 square feet of space at Kilroy Airport Center, according to Kilroy Realty Corp., an El Segundo-based real estate investment trust. Epson will occupy a recently completed five-story building and additional space in a nearby structure. The company is expected to move into the facility in October.
Kilroy also said it has broken ground on a 200,000-square-foot building to be completed in 2000.
