Debra Sakacs, a past executive director of the Universal City/North Hollywood and Chatsworth/Porter Ranch chambers of commerce, has been named executive director of the United Chambers of Commerce of the San Fernando Valley.
Sakacs, who most recently was executive director of the Granada Hills Community Hospital foundation, will replace John Warner, according to chairman Ross Hopkins.
Warner will serve as a public relations consultant for the united chambers, an umbrella organization that represents 23 chambers in the Valley.
As executive director, Sakacs will be responsible for coordinating events for the chambers, direct programs and aid in fund-raising, according to Warner. The salary was not disclosed.
Warner also announced that the chamber office is moving this week from Sherman Oaks to Encino. The new address is 16000 Ventura Blvd., Suite 900.
