Woman, 33, to Stand Trial in Slaying of Boyfriend

A 33-year-old woman charged in the fatal shooting of her boyfriend, whose body was found buried behind their rented Topanga Canyon home, must stand trial for murder, a judge ruled Tuesday.
Malibu Municipal Judge Lawrence Mira ordered Christina Marie White to stand trial for the slaying, as well as on an additional count of marijuana cultivation.
White, who is being held in lieu of $1.5-million bail, will be arraigned in Malibu Superior Court on May 27.
Prosecutors contend that White shot Peter Paul, 29, in the head in September, buried his body in a shallow grave behind their rented residence and fled.
The decomposed body of the construction company owner and aspiring actor was discovered by the landlord Sept. 30 after White moved out.
In a separate case, White, also known as Timi Vaughn and Tia Williams, faces charges of embezzling $800,000 from a Beverly Hills printing company and a Malibu businessman.
Authorities allege that the former Pacific Palisades resident spent much of the money remodeling a home, traveling to Hawaii, London and Amsterdam and living well in the high-society drug scene.
