The city is accepting applications to fill four seats on the Arts Commission and two seats on the Planning Commission. The City Council will make the appointments.
The Arts Commission has seven members who serve two-year terms; commissioners receive $40 a month. The members attend meetings on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 5:30 p.m. Four of the seven must actively participate in the arts. The Planning Commission has five members who also serve two-year terms; they are paid $60 each month. The commission meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 7 p.m.
Applications are due to City Hall by 5 p.m. June 9. Applicants will be interviewed by the council at its June 15 meeting, 6 p.m. in council chambers, 505 Forest Ave. Information: (949) 497-0771.
