Compensation for Supervisors
* I support a correct and easy method to be certain that our supervisors receive proper remuneration for their efforts in managing the various very complicated activities of our county.
The most cost-effective way to ensure this is to pay them the same amount as Superior Court judges, not just a percentage of a judge’s salary. When judges receive a pay increase, so would the supervisors. It is difficult for me to understand why our supervisors are not considered at least equal to our judges in terms of responsibilities and compensation.
This would eliminate setting up a salary committee every few years to do a study. It should also eliminate any more studies by the Grand Jury.
It is interesting to note that many positions in the county receive considerably more compensation than our supervisors. Perhaps it should be corrected.
