Fall From TV Tower on Mt. Wilson Kills Man

MT. WILSON — A 21-year-old man fell to his death Tuesday afternoon from a 280-foot television tower, county fire officials said.
The man, who was not identified pending notification of relatives, was doing maintenance work on the KCAL-TV, Channel 9, tower on Mt. Wilson, said Art Marrujo, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
State occupational safety experts and homicide detectives were sent to investigate the fall as routine procedure, officials said.
