The City Council on Monday agreed to spend $182,000 to make improvements to the traffic signals at two intersections. Baxter-Griffin Co. won the bid to make improvements to the intersections at Katella Avenue and Cherry Street, and Los Alamitos Boulevard and Sausalito Street. The city hopes to receive about $125,000 of that money through Measure M funding; county voters passed that measure in 1990 to pay for traffic improvement projects.
