The Securities and Exchange Commission has issued a new publication with basic information about international investing. For a copy, visit the SEC’s Web site at https://www.sec.gov or call (800) SEC-0330. . . . Aim Management Group Inc., a unit of London-based fund manager Amvescap, is introducing a mutual fund based on the investment philosophy of author Harry Dent. The fund, Aim Dent Demographic Trends, will invest most of its assets in shares of U.S. companies that benefit from trends as outlined in Dent’s books “The Great Boom Ahead” and “The Roaring 2000s.” Dent, 46, thinks the “driving force” behind the stock market is the baby boom generation and its predictable spending habits. . . . Not all investors are turning away from Internet stocks: Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Inc. raised $320 million Tuesday selling 16 million shares of DLJDirect (ticker symbol: DIR) to the public at $20 each.
