As a crew member of the aircraft carrier Hornet from 1944 to 1946, I enjoyed reading your Weekend Escape on the Hornet (“Ship to Shore,” May 2).
I am thankful that you took the time to bring the Hornet to the attention of so many people who otherwise would never have known that through hard work and many donations, it has finally become a historic museum.
