Kjenstad’s Goal Lifts Ice Dogs

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Olaf Kjenstad broke a tie with less than seven minutes remaining as the Long Beach Ice Dogs ended the Michigan K-Wings’ three-game winnings streak, 3-1. It was the first point in four games this season for Kjenstad, who beat besieged Michigan goalie Marty Turco with 6:23 left.
Mike O’Neill stopped 25 shots, including all 14 he faced in the opening period for the Ice Dogs, who evened their road record at 4-4-1.
