Panel to Discuss Airport Expansion

Expansion of Palmdale Airport to benefit San Fernando Valley travelers and businesses will be the topic of a panel discussion today sponsored by the Valley Industry and Commerce Assn.
State Assemblyman Scott Wildman (D-Los Angeles) will offer a perspective on statewide infrastructure and master planning for air commerce.
Supporters of Palmdale Airport’s expansion expected to participate are Howard Brooks, executive director of the Antelope Valley Board of Trade; David Foy, district director to U.S. Rep. Howard P. “Buck” McKeon (R-Santa Clarita); and Larry Grooms, president of the Greater Antelope Valley Economic Alliance. Representatives from Los Angeles World Airports also are expected to attend.
The luncheon meeting, scheduled from noon to 1:30 p.m., will be held at the Airtel Plaza Hotel, 7727 Valjean Ave. The meeting is open to the public at a cost of $20 per person, including lunch.
