* “How to Write a Business Plan,” a workshop by the Gold Coast Small Business Development Center, will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at 5700 Ralston St., Suite 310, Ventura.
Topics will include critical elements of a plan, how to attract investors and additional sources of information for completing the plan. The cost is $10.

* The dinner meeting for the Ventura County chapter of the National Assn. of Women Business Owners will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Radisson Hotel in Agoura Hills.
A demonstration and discussion of e-commerce on the Internet will be held by PurchasePro, a business-to-business network.
