Carey New Coach at La Quinta

Jason Carey, a 29-year-old graduate of Edison High School, was named boys’ basketball coach at La Quinta, Athletic Director Jim Perry announced.
Carey has been a junior varsity coach for the last six seasons at Edison and teaches physical education at a middle school in Westminster. He attended San Diego State. Carey replaces Craig Snider, who resigned last spring.

Kevin Wilch and Jeff Rutter, a pair of Whittier Christian graduates, have been named co-coaches of the boys’ basketball team at their alma mater, according to Associate Athletic Director Bob Hubbard.
