Applications Due for Junior Fair Board

The deadline to apply for membership on the Ventura County Fair’s Junior Board is Friday.
The Junior Fair Board was created to provide young adults with leadership skills and community service experience.
The board meets monthly to plan fair events such as the Diaper Derby, Pie-Eating Contest, Egg Toss Contest, Cow Chip Toss event and hog calling, among others.
A maximum of 20 members, age 15 through 20, are selected to serve based on written applications, letters of recommendation and interviews.
Interviews will be held in December for the 2000 term, which begins in January and continues through October.
Applications are available at Seaside Park, 10 W. Harbor Blvd., Ventura. To request an application or for information, call 648-3376.
